This Saturday, November 11, Columbia Records recording artist and West Virginia’s own Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. is volunteering his time to salute WV Veterans.
Landau will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America following the Ripley Veteran’s Day Parade and Veterans Memorial Ceremony. More than 400 veterans are participating in the Military Honor March that begins at 10am near Ripley High School. The 100-plus unit parade will conclude at the Jackson County Courthouse with a Veterans Memorial Ceremony at 11am.
Later in the day, Landau will join WCHS TV’s Kennie Bass for the Veteran’s Day Lil Bit of Heaven Cupcake Holiday Tasting event at Grace Baptist Temple in St. Albans.
Landau will end the day in Nitro, WV at the Nitro Moose Lodge with a special performance of God Bless America. This event includes live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, a silent auction and live auction.
