LANDAU EUGENE MURPHY PREMIERES NEW ALBUM IN VEGAS

~Live at Myron’s at The Smith Center, Las Vegas Saturday, August 24th~

Season six winner of NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’, and Sinatra-singing sensation Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. returns to Las Vega Saturday night, August 24th for the world premiere performance of his first album of all-original material, titled “I’m Not Messing Around” at Myron’s at The Smith Center.

Landau’s fifth album was produced and co-written by Rob Hegel (known for his work with Air Supply). It was recorded in Las Vegas, and features many of the city’s top studio musicians who will also join Landau on-stage at Myron’s, bringing the album to life for the very first time in a live setting.

“I’m Not Messing Around” stays true to the timeless Great American Songbook style that Landau has become synonymous with since his record-setting AGT win, drawing inspiration from musical legends smFrank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. “It’s the album I’ve wanted to make for twelve years, and I’m so excited to share it with the world!” said Landau. Fans can also look forward to hearing several of Landau’s beloved classics from his previous four albums during this unforgettable evening. Landau will also be meeting fans and sign copies of the new CD after the show.

Landau’s renditions and interpretations of standards of Frank Sinatra and other Classic crooners helped him win “America's Got Talent”, prompting America’s Got Talent judge, Piers Morgan to say, “Can I see Landau headlining in Vegas? Absolutely.”

Since then, the once homeless car washer's career has continued a steady rise and led to dozens of sold-out performances around the world, headlining venues including Caesars Palace in Las Vegas (where he recorded his “Live In Las Vegas” album), the Apollo Theater in New York, The Grove in Hollywood, the Fountainbleu in Miami Beach, Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai China, and for U.S. troops in Europe.

Along the way, Landau shared the stage with the Boston Pops, George Benson, Patti Labelle, Christopher Cross, the Commodores, the Temptations and many more.

This is more than a concert for Landau; it’s a celebration of his remarkable journey from the tiny West Virginia town of Logan to the bright lights of Las Vegas, winning the nation’s hearts, and debuting a brand-new collection of original songs in the entertainment capital of the world.
