It’s a true rags to riches story. When Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. showed up to audition for America’s Got Talent, the only clothes he owned were the ones he was wearing. Well fortunately, you don’t need a large wardrobe to win. You need talent and Landau has plenty of that. Since winning AGT, Landau has released his Columbia Records debut “That’s Life” (which hit #1 on the Billboard Charts) and been performing all over the country, from the California State Fair to the New York’s Apollo Theatre, Caesars Palace in Las Vegas to the Marina Civic Center in Florida and all points in between! Along the way, he was named West Virginian of the Year, won Reality TV Personality of the Year in Hollywood and was honored to perform for U.S. Troops in Germany. But all that success hasn’t made him forget his roots. He was born in the Mountain State of West Virginia and continues to live there rather than move to California or New York. But you won’t see him there on July 6. On that day he’ll be just across the river, in Ashland, Kentucky performing a free concert under the stars for Summer Motion starting at 9:30pm.
